'Lemuel Shaw' is a whole-plate daguerreotype with silver-plated copper sheet support created by Southworth & Hawes, active 1843 - 1862, Albert Sands Southworth, 12 Mar 1811 - 3 Mar 1894, Josiah Johnson Hawes, 20 Feb 1808 - 7 Aug 1901 around c. 1851. The piece features Lemuel Shaw, 9 Jan 1781 - 30 Mar 1861. It is currently part of the National Portrait Gallery collection.
